Whitney Bays mentioned in AAU Fab Five Tip Sheet

Kayla Cook mentioned in AAU 15U Tip Sheet

Whitney Bays' is being featured in the elite www.hoopgurlz.com .  Click to read the complete article.  Congratulations Whit!

Whitney Bays' jersey to be displayed in the Ring of Honor in recognition of her outstanding play in all avenues of the 2007-2008 Season.  The Ring of Honor is one of the favorite displays and has become one of the most popular exhibits as well.  The Hall of Fame each year has on display high school and college All Americans (the top elite players in the country) as well as the WNBA All Star Jerseys.

Whitney is definitely a part of this elite group and is now a part of history too.  Her jersey will hang in the Ring of Honor with these outstanding athletes for the 2007-2008 Season as one of the top players in the country.  Please share this news with Whitney's team mates so anyone that wishes can plan to come and see Whitney's jersey while it is on display at the Women's Hall of Fame in Knoxville TN.

Kayla Cook has been invited to participate in the Showcase Event "Michigan vs. Ohio Border Battle" which is sponsored by The Steve Mix Basketball Academy July 31, 2008.  This is by invitation only to the top 80 players in each state.

Whitney Bays, WV Thunder 15u, HHS Sophomore has been named the Gatorade West Virginia Girls Basketball Player of the Year 2008.

Whitney Bays, WV Thunder 15u, HHS Sophomore has been listed on the Michael T. White Deep South website as one of the top fifteen players in the Deep South.  It is seldom a player from a small state such as WV receives that type of recognition at such an early age.  We truly are proud of Whit and her achievement. She has been a part of the Thunder program for six seasons. You can access the site at http://www.michaeltwhite.com/dscg

Alyssa Hammond, Thunder Player from 1998-2005 has been averaging double figures in scoring since she was inserted into the line-up.  She is a junior for the Lady Herd of Marshall University in Huntington West Virginia.
